World Literature: Grade 12: Summer Course
In this course the literature of world cultures is studied within the context of universal themes and shared aesthetics. An in-depth study of literary and sound devices is required – moving toward mastery. Students are expected to be familiar with the conventions of literary analysis in order to sharpen their critical interpretations and fashion academic arguments.
Research writing strategies are reviewed, along with source documentation requirements. Students study both primary and secondary sources of information and proper source integration.
Writing skills will be enhanced through the practice of writing literary criticism and through the use of a variety of rhetorical strategies: narration, description, argument, cause and effect, persuasion, comparison/contrast, and process analysis.
Face to Face Online Course in real time, taught by a state certified Teacher of English.
IOE is Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools accredited.
60 hour course : 3 hours per day / 5 days per week / 4 weeks
