Health: Summer Course
9th/10th grade Health - This course deals with human relations and sexuality. It provides factual information about the mental, physical, emotional, and social health knowledge base that adolescents need to incorporate into their lives to make responsible decisions. The course will encourage the development of a personal value system based on regard for others and the importance of a positive self-image to build successful social interactions. Topics Covered - Friendships/Dating, Relationships, Changing Years, Reproduction, Sexual Health Care, Family Planning
11th grade Health - This course builds upon previous Health courses and deals with advanced learning of human relations and sexuality. It provides factual information about the mental, physical, emotional, and social health knowledge base that adolescents require in order to make responsible decisions and promotes informed and ethical judgments. The course will encourage the development of a personal value system based on regard for others. Topics Covered - Review Male/Female Reproductive Systems, Review Contraceptives and STIs, Family Life, Stress, Environmental Health
12th grade Health - This course will provide factual information on mental, physical, social, and environmental health issues that may confront us in our everyday lives. The course will encourage a personal value system based on regard for themselves and others. Topics Covered - Alcohol, Sexuality Health, Mental Health, Wellness/Fitness, Marriage/Parenting, Childbirth/Pregnancy, Consumer Health, Death/Dying

Live virtual instruction: face to face online instruction in real time. Instructor is a state certified Teacher of Physical Education and Health.
IOE is Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools accredited.
