Advanced Placement: Art History: Summer Course
Art History focuses on the relationship of form and meaning in art and the relation of art to its cultural and historical context by examining issues such as politics, class, religion, patronage, audience, gender, function, race, and ethnicity. Students will examine and analyze works of art within their cultural and historical context and articulate what they see or experience in a meaningful way.
Students should be highly motivated and possess superior writing and analysis skills. Participation in this class will prepare students for the exam.
